High-5 to Hilton’s Fitness Center – A Thoughtful Place to Train

I spent a couple of days this week in Houston for a speaking engagement and really wanted to give a big high-five to the Hilton Houston Hobby Airport Hotel for the nice job they did designing their fitness center. It was simple but well-rounded, full of high-end equipment and really thoughtful as well! In the pictures below you’ll see: a couple of cardio machines which are in pretty great shape, a fabulous weight-set, a bench and some yoga mats. It also provided enough room for lunges, floor work and more. I certainly had enough to get in a killer workout three days in a row.  Now for the “thoughtful part” …

When traveling, we’re often at the mercy of whatever is available to us for exercise.  I can’t vouch for all Hiltons, but I imagine I’ll have the opportunity to visit many more. Hopefully they’ll all be set up so well. What hotels and resorts do you love for their fitness center? Spread the word so we all know where to stay!

I just visited the Ocean Walk Resort in Daytona Beach and ran a 5K on a really nice treadmill, while watching myself in the mirror the whole time (I finally got to check out my own form!). Also had some great machines and free weights, the water jug with paper cups, hand sanitizer, fresh white towels and a scale to keep travelers honest! Loved it.
