I hate to break it to you, but you’ll never please everyone. I can’t, nor do I care to. This doesn’t mean I’m not consistently trying to do better and be better … I just do those things because I choose to, not because I give a rat’s ass about what others think of me. I know that sounds crass, but it’s the mentality that keeps me … happy! Like me? Super! Hate me? Super! This attitude has helped me become a girl who’s comfy in her skin, her work, her role’s within her family and as a friend. I used to be an overweight bulimic who stressed out about what all the other kids thought. Happy on the outside, not so happy on this inside.

Struggling to do the same? Remember this: your body is YOURS. It’s main function is to allow you to do the things you want to do and need to do. It wasn’t specifically created for swimsuit modeling, so do with it what you like. Whether you choose to be bigger or smaller, the choice is yours. I used to be told I should lose a few.
