The nice thing about golf, is that it’s a sport you can truly play alone. So if you want to play this game and don’t have a partner, you can still get out and get to work.  Golf is not known as a physically demanding sport, but a round of golf can really burn some calories, if you’re smart about it. If you use a bag dolly and walk it, instead of riding in a golf cart, you can burn up to 300 calories per hour. Generally, 18 hole golf courses take around four hours to play, so a weekly round of golf can really make a dent in that spare tire. Is it a vigorous training activity likely to increase your cardio and lung capacity tremendously? No! But, does it offer an active and outdoorsy way to spend your day? Heck yeah!
