We all pick our battles. I know that for a large population, exercise feels impossible and so does making healthy choices about eating. But I’d like you to weigh your options. Sure, being a fit person requires you to: take time out of your day, show discipline, reject unhealthy foods, find foods that do more good than harm, work up a sweat, struggle to lift weights that are challenging to you and persevere when you’d rather stop. You may even use this EXACT FORMULA FOR WEIGHT LOSS! I KNOW that working out includes the word “work” with good reason. However! Being overweight really comes with a bunch of struggles to. So let’s review those and then you get to choose which battle is best for you.

Being overweight can/will inflict:

  • joint pain
  • issues with self-esteem
  • an inability to fit in clothes you like
  • lack of flexibility, strength and stamina
  • heart disease
  • diabetes
  • certain cancers
  • trouble getting in and out of chairs
  • difficulties getting in to certain roller-coaster, airplane, movie or restaurant chairs
  • discrimination
  • added stress
  • shortened lifespan
  • a crappy sex life
  • low testosterone
  • difficulty getting pregnant
  • aged appearance
  • low energy
  • and more …

So! The choice, as always, is yours. But I’d like to encourage you to consider the efforts made towards becoming more fit will be offset by those struggles you can avoid by being overweight. From my own personal experience on both the larger and leaner sides of the fence … it’s FAR easier to be on the leaner side. Any effort I put towards fitness now is a walk in the park compared to the struggles I faced being overweight. You don’t have to be perfect, but I assure you that your consistent efforts towards weight loss and fitness gains will make life so much better in so many ways. If you do want to make change, start today, cause being overweight any longer than you have to just stinks!

If you choose the route of fitness, please stick with us at Fitzness.com. Our goal is to help each of you to live better and longer.
