Dog yoga, also known as doga, is a type of yoga practice that involves practicing yoga alongside your dog. It typically involves incorporating your dog into the yoga poses, either by using them as a prop or allowing them to participate in the movements. In doga classes, the practice typically starts with warm-up stretches for you and your dog, followed by a series of poses that incorporate your dog into the movements. These poses may involve using your dog as a prop for balance, holding them in certain positions, or having them participate in the movements with you. 

Some common doga poses include “downward facing dog” with your dog underneath you, “puppy pose” with your dog lying on top of you, and “upward facing dog” with your dog sitting on your back. These poses aim to promote relaxation, stretching, and bonding between you and your furry friend. Doga can also involve some partner poses, where you and your dog work together to achieve a certain position. For example, you may both stand on your hind legs and hold onto each other’s front paws in a pose called “the cobra.” These partner poses can be a fun and engaging way to bond with your dog and improve your teamwork skills. 

Some of the benefits of dog yoga include increased bonding between you and your dog, improved flexibility and relaxation for both you and your dog, and an opportunity for your dog to get some exercise and mental stimulation. Doga can also help to calm anxious or hyperactive dogs and provide a fun and engaging activity for you and your furry friend.
