How much weight have you lost? I’ve lost 40lbs. so far

How did you lose it? I lost my weight by actually eating more often than before. I ate 5 times a day instead of 3. Also I ran 2 miles and did various weight lifting and finished with core at the gym 4 times a week.

What prompted your weight loss? My driver’s liscence photo that I had to get renewed was hideous and reflected all the weight that I had gained in college. I was also tired of being the fat funny guy who didn’t get any attention from girls or taken seriously.

How long did it take? I lost 40 lbs. in 3 months.

What was the hardest part? Staying motivated throughout was very hard, as well as finding the time to workout. I ended up going to the gym the only time my schedule would permit me which was at 9pm on most nights.

Most fun part of your weight loss? How I looked in the mirror.

Most rewarding experience? Hearing everyone tell me I looked younger and having people not recognize me at first.

Who/what inspires you when you feel like quitting? My driver’s liscence picture inspires me everytime I look at it. I tell myself, “Never again will I look like that.”

How has this weight loss changed you life? Nothing life changing yet, but it has given me more confidence in myself.

Have any advice for others who’d like to lose weight? Make a regiment and stick to it, pick your meals out ahead of time and don’t get discouraged when the scale doesn’t tip in your favor one week.

Must-have fitness equipment: Honestly, you only need yourself to work, running/walking is the best thing to do to lose weight. Core is also very important for slimming down. Save the weight lifting for after you shed some pounds.

Favorite training song: Burn by Meek Mill and Big Sean

Favorite healthy food: Grilled chicken

Favorite not-so-healthy food: Eggplant pizza

Funniest/weirdest/most awkward experience during your weight loss journey: Getting compliments from dudes on my workout gear (Miami Heat headphones, my nikes, my sweatpants.) I was like, “Thanks bro”.

Future goals: Lose 35 more and have a six pack by my birthday.

Amazing work, Andrew! Keep up the good work!
