Ever wonder how Lauren Cohan physically prepares for her role as Maggie Greene in The Walking Dead? Similar to other actors on the AMC hit series, Cohan combines a variety of activities in her daily life which make her happy, physically strong and agile. Her role as Maggie Greene requires Cohan to be athletic and active. Here’s how she prepares for her on-screen role:

1. Cohan leads a healthy and happy lifestyle. First and foremost, Lauren feels her best when she treats her body right. She tries to eat a gluten-free diet with many fruits and veggies to give her body the energy it needs to perform at its best. Cohan avoids junk food because she finds it makes her feel sluggish and she doesn’t have time for that!

2. Lauren Cohan makes her workouts fun and enjoyable. Like her on-set fiancé, Glenn Rhee, Cohan loves boxing. She also enjoys dancing ballet, hiking and doing Pilates. She leans towards any exercise where can have fun and blow off steam.

3. She is a creature of change. According to Women’s Health, Lauren Cohen loves trying new and fun things. She enjoys anything that makes her feel good about herself, like singing or the outdoors. She says that trying new and challenging things keeps her on her toes, mentally and physically.
