mizuno wave rider 18 blue orange Mizuno did it again; they’ve created a wonderful running shoe which offers the perfect combination of support, structure and comfort with the Wave Rider 18. I know lots of folks are running in minimalist shoes which tout “no support”, or shoes which tilt your feet so far forward you’re forced up on to the balls of your feet. Hooray for those people, but I’m not one of them! I want something lovely between the ground and my precious tootsies. I want the kind of support that lets my feet and legs know that I can go as far as I want and they’re not going to hurt me. I also happen to want this without the shoe being so dense that it slows me down. The Wave Rider 18 does neither. It’s just a solid but lightweight running sneaker designed to make runs feel … good! (And they’re pretty. Yes, I know it’s not the most vital part of shoe-choice, but it’s a great add!)

For the most part, I consider Mizuno a really solid brand. They make the kind of shoes you can try on at a store and have a great chance of going home with.
