The mission of Fitzness has always been to help people live better and longer through healthy habits. I grew up on that mantra (literally) because I was raised by the one and only Mrs. Fitz Koehler! So it probably didn’t surprise anyone but me when I ended up in the health field, too.
The twist? Not physical health like my mom, or even mental health like a reasonable person. Nope. I went full steam ahead into the wild, wonderful world of sexual health. I’ve spent the last five years as a dedicated sex educator, helping people talk, learn, and laugh about the most intimate parts of their lives.
Now, I’m wrapping up my BA in Theories and Politics of Sexuality and my BS in Journalism at the University of Florida (Go Gators!). That combo means I’m trained to look at sex from both a health and humanities lens, and to break down the latest research and expert insight into useful, non-cringe info about sex, pleasure, and relationships.
I’ve written for six publications, covered everything from sex tech to dating trends, and led workshops for hundreds of college students on how to make their sex lives healthier, safer, and more satisfying.
Because here’s the truth: sexual health is health. Just like physical and mental wellness, it deserves real attention and real conversations. When we talk openly and honestly about sex, we break down shame, build confidence, and boost our overall well-being.
So it’s about time I hopped aboard the Fitzness train to bring some of that spicy, stigma-free sex ed to the community I grew up in. Keep an eye out for lots of sexy content, smart advice, and zero judgment.
Let’s get it on (safely and knowledgeably),
Xoxo, Ginger
