Does it bother you when you’re working out at the gym, and your hair just keeps falling out of the claw clip? Or when you are running on the treadmill and your ponytail doesn’t feel secure enough? Even if you already mastered the perfect ponytail, do you want to learn new hairstyles that are perfect for the gym? If so, continue reading and be open to some of the options discussed.

Consider the various hairstyles you have already tried. Are these hairstyles cute, comfortable, and gym-resistant? If they’re not, then you need new, easy, and quick hairstyle ideas for everyday gym sessions. Note: These hairstyles are more suited for medium-to-long hair.

One quick ponytail hairstyle that has been proven gym-resistant is this:

1.

This quick hairstyle is accomplished by taking one front strand/section from each side of your middle part and tying it up with a small elastic band. Then, move on to the next section by parting your hair right behind the first strand and tying those two strands together with another elastic band. Repeat this process with a third section, and you’re done with the “hard” part! Now, just put your hair in a ponytail as high or low as you would like.

If you’re a beginner with hairstyles, this might take a few tries until you’re fully comfortable and able to do it quickly. But, I promise you it is worth it. This hairstyle will NOT move while working out.

Disclaimer: This hairstyle is not very visible on dark hair as pictured above; however, it is still more noticeable in person than in pictures.

2.

This hairstyle is one of the most basic out there, but it can totally be forgotten when getting ready for a quick gym session.

First, put your hair in a high or medium ponytail. Tie it. Then, braid your hair all the way. Tie the end of the braid. Now, add a cute bow or ribbon if you like to add accessories!

3.

Another hairstyle that’s perfectly suitable for the gym is a high bun with two front strands. This can be an overlooked hairstyle because lately everyone wears strictly slick-backs. But have fun with your bun by just taking out the front strands. It’s a simple way to feel cuter in a bun.

4.

Similar to style #1, this one features a ponytail, along with a bit of braiding. For this hairstyle, part two big sections at the front. Separate them from the rest of your hair with a scrunchy or clip. Then, tie the rest of your hair in a ponytail (preferrably high ponytail). Next, braid your two front sections into simple braids. Then tie these two braids together over your head. Lastly, cross the braids and tie them into your ponytail. Now you have another way to elevate your ponytail.

5.

Lastly, a half-up-half-down that will not move while you lift weights. (Not recommended for running.) Achieve this hairstyle by parting your hair into two sections, one on top and one on the bottom. Then, slick back your top section and tie it. Take a claw clip or any clip that will hold your hair, and place it at the bottom of your top section, letting your tied hair sit on top of it. This will create some volume in the top section. Another alternative is to leave it without a clip. Lastly, find your favorite headband and voila. The headband will make sure your front section feels secure and adds sportiness and appeal to it.

BONUS Hairstyle:

If you love wearing your hair down, here is a cute, fun hairstyle that keeps your hair away from your face and is the EASIEST to pull off. Just take two small clips (better if they are the same color and style) and part two strands from the front of your middle part. Slick them back into your head, take a clip, and clip the strand into the rest of your hair. Repeat that on the other side and done.

BONUS #2:

If you really love how these two clips look with your hair down, but want to have your hair up, then just put it in a ponytail! This trick is amazing for when you have to run errands during the day and then get ready for the gym quickly in the afternoon.

All of these hairstyles are simple, quick, and easy for those people “on the run”. It doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming to look cute and work out at the same time. These tips are just one way to get motivated and feel comfortable when going to the gym. Have a good workout!
