But here\u2019s the truth: your yoga mat is not judging you, and neither is anyone else in the class. Most people are focused on their own practice, not yours.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Shift Your Focus: Yoga is About You, Not Perfection<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Yoga isn\u2019t about executing every pose perfectly. It\u2019s about being in tune with your body and mind. You don\u2019t have to nail every move or keep up with the instructor. It\u2019s okay to wobble in Warrior Pose or modify a pose to fit your needs. Everyone in class started as a beginner, and no one is expecting you to be perfect. The goal is progress, not perfection.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Arrive Early to Settle In<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Give yourself a few extra minutes before class to get comfortable. Arriving early lets you ask questions, talk to the instructor, and get familiar with the studio. The instructor is there to guide you, but the class is about <em>your<\/em> practice, not comparing yourself to others.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Focus on Your Breath<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Yoga is as much about mental relaxation as it is about physical movement.
