To ensure a smooth race day experience, participants must follow these important race instructions.  Packet Pickup &amp; Expo All runners must pick up their race packets at the Buffalo Marathon Health &amp; Fitness Expo before race day. Packets include a bib number, timing chip, and race shirt. There is no race-day packet pickup, so plan accordingly.  Race Start &amp; Corrals The marathon and half marathon begin at 6:30 AM at Delaware Avenue in downtown Buffalo. Runners should arrive at least an hour early to allow time for parking, warm-ups, and locating their designated starting corral, which is based on estimated finish times.  Course Rules &amp; Support The USATF-certified course features aid stations with water, sports drinks, and medical support approximately every 1.5 miles. Runners must follow all course markings and listen to instructions from race officials. Headphones are allowed, but runners should remain aware of their surroundings.  Pacing &amp; Cutoff Times The marathon course has a 6-hour time limit, requiring runners to maintain a 13:45 per mile pace. Those unable to meet this pace may be directed to the sidewalk or picked up by the sweep vehicle.  Finish Line &amp; Post-Race At the finish line, runners receive a medal, refreshments, and access to the post-race celebration. Official results will be posted online, and age-group awards can be picked up after the race.  Additional Guidelines Bag check is available near the start line.
