This research will apply to your average fitness fiend too! \u00a0Research finds that listening to one&#8217;s favorite tunes distracts athletes from their &#8220;bodily awareness&#8221;.\u00a0 In other words, music is a good kind of distraction from the athlete&#8217;s exercise and pain.\u00a0 Try running for 5 minutes without playing any music.\u00a0 Now try again, but with some music.\u00a0 Running while playing some music definitely was the better option.\u00a0 Why?
