Getting Started:<\/strong> After you purchase and register the Activa device, you will have to setup the software and answer some questions about yourself to help Activa work better for you. You can also import your favorite music onto the device using Philips Songbird software provided when you purchase the device.<\/p>\n

Tracking your Progress: <\/strong>Activa uses your personal information to monitor the calories you are burning during your workout as well as the distance you have travelled and how long you\u2019ve been at it. Plug it into your computer to upload recorded details of your workouts.\u00a0 You can track your progress for up to a year and set goals on number of calories to lose or distance travelled.<\/p>\n

Real-time Vocal Coach:<\/strong> In addition to recording and tracking your progress, Activa also has a real-time vocal coach that updates you on your workout details and encourages you to push harder. The vocal coach can update you on calories burned, distance, time, or pace travelled. Plus, there are male and female voices with tough or friendly tones so you can get the most out of this feature.<\/p>\n

Tempo Music<\/strong>– As mentioned earlier, you can upload your favorite music to the device and take it anywhere you choose. One of the coolest features of Activa is that it uses TempoMusic to select music from your playlist that has a tempo correlated to where you are in your workout. For example, if you need a boost of energy, it will select a faster song and during cool down it will select a slower paced song.<\/p>\n

Self-Compete:<\/strong> You can challenge yourself by getting updates on how your current workout compares to your previous ones. The vocal coach will keep you updated so you know if you should stay on pace or speed up. This is a great tool to keep you motivated even if exercising by yourself.<\/p>\n
