Summer is here, the temperatures are already nearing 100 throughout the country and with that comes a whole new set of rules for makeup application. Do the same thing you did in January and you’re bound to look like a sticky clown. Blend, Blend and Blend <\/strong>Whether you’re applying concealer, lip liner or blush, be sure to blend colors and makeup to create a natural summer look. Defined lines and mismatched colors can lead to a disastrous look for the summer. Also, remember to switch to a darker shade if you have been out in the sun.<\/p>\n

Stay in Line <\/strong> Cat eyes are great, but tone down the look for the summer. If you plan to extend your line beyond your eyes, keep it natural.\u00a0When applying lipstick, trace your lip line and avoid an unnatural look.<\/p>\n

Mind Your Neck <\/strong>The neck is a common place for mistakes year-round, but needs particular attention during the summertime. Since you are out in the sun, your neck may not match that fabulous natural tan. Dab some bronze powder on\u00a0 your neck to ensure you match!<\/p>\n

Out with the Old, In with the New <\/strong>As you update your wardrobe with the hottest summer gear, the same should go for your makeup. Go Waterproof! <\/strong>The hot summer weather doesn\u2019t necessarily have to affect your summer makeup application. Switch to waterproof makeup for the summertime. Whether off to the beach or a day at the office, avoid smudged black makeup under your eyes.<\/p>\n
