Marie Osmond has had more ups and downs over the past few years than most people have in a lifetime. She’s experienced divorce, marriage, loss of a child, loss of a parent, loss of lots of weight and a tons of success via “Dancing with the Stars” and a hit show in Vegas. Pairing back up with Donnie in Vegas was a big decision, but she’s on a new path towards happiness, proud of her work ethic and grateful she’s lost 40 pounds. \u00a0Marie is Prevention magazine’s July cover girl<\/a> and holds nothing back in a revealing interview. Yes, she even confesses her willingness to go under the knife one day.<\/p>\n

On the best thing that happened when she followed her gut: <\/strong>\u201cMoving to Vegas. On every level, it was the craziest decision. To leave all the support I get from my family\u2014who are in Utah\u2014and come out here by myself. I prayed about it and pondered\u2026but I felt like it was the right thing to do for my children and myself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her take on her soaring career: <\/strong>\u201cTo have people still be interested in you is a blessing. We\u2019re one of the few entertainers in Vegas who meet people after the show, and Donny and I decided to do that because for us, it\u2019s not about the money, it\u2019s about giving an hour of your time. When you find out you\u2019re on somebody\u2019s bucket list, it\u2019s the least you can do to make time to meet them.\u201d<\/p>\n

On getting back into exercising: <\/strong>\u201cI started walking. I love to read, so I would walk outside and listen to books I had downloaded. I was almost fifty pounds overweight. I\u2019d think about going into a gym, and it would be depressing. Everybody in there is in shape!\u201d<\/p>\n

Her take on the “Dancing with the Stars” impact: <\/strong>\u201cThat was the catalyst. There\u2019s nothing more humiliating than wearing spandex when you\u2019re forty pounds overweight. My top weight in 2007 was 165 pounds.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her take on cosmetic surgery: <\/strong>\u201cWe cherish youth more than we do wisdom. Will I do it? I\u2019m sure. Nobody wants to have a saggy jowl. Is it bad to do? I don\u2019t think anything is bad if it makes you feel better. I\u2019ve had HydraFacial, which is a non-laser skin resurfacing. I had a second procedure, which was done with infrared light; it tightens the skin and stimulates collagen to make your face look more toned. And I use a lot of sunscreen.\u201d<\/p>\n

On what she tries to teach her children: <\/strong>\u201cThe greatest thing my parents taught me is to feel the worth of hard work. School is very important. When they get an A, I don\u2019t just say, \u201cOh, I\u2019m so proud of you.\u201d I follow it with, \u201cAren\u2019t you proud of yourself?\u201d Because true self-esteem comes from feeling good about working hard.<\/p>\n
