\n<\/a>Based on the amount of pressure those robed ladies at department stores place on us, one would definitely believe that if we didn’t spend half our monthly income on skin care products … we’d be doomed to look like a 90 year old hag by our 42nd birthday. Apparently this pressure may be unwarranted.\u00a0According to Scott-Vincent Borba, author of \u00a0the book Skintervention<\/a>, the cost of a product does not correlate to it’s efficacy. And usually, an expensive product’s price tag is more often a result of a big marketing campaign than super magical ingredients. Drug store brands traditionally carry products with the same exact active ingredients as the pricey department store brands, they just haven’t spend a billion dollars on famous actresses to endorse their products and fancy packaging. So your job now is to say “Sorry Elizbeth Hurley”, and “Stick it Emma Watson”. Just because they’ve put their rich and famous faces on those ad pages doesn’t mean you’ve become a cash cow. Now go hit your local Walgreens or\u00a0CVS and\u00a0get gorgeous skin for less than 20 bucks!<\/p>\n
