“Calorie Explosion<\/a>“, of the popular series of fitness DVDs,The Firm, <\/strong>offers a pretty\u00a0decent opportunity to get a well rounded workout in the comfort of your own home. Taught by a woman named, Allison, the workout is broken\u00a0in to four parts which one could do separately or all at once.\u00a0 There are three really good segments “Kick-Butt Athletic Drills”, “Explosive Power Moves”,\u00a0and “High Intensity Moves”\u00a0which are filled with exercises that\u00a0the regular fitness enthusiast can both do and be challenged by.\u00a0The instructor\u00a0sticks with\u00a0basic moves, but uses plyometrics to make them challenging.<\/p>\n

The fourth segment called \u00a0“Cardio Kickboxing” was\u00a0downright goofy though. Of course, I competed as a full-contact kickboxer for a long time so my standards are higher than most. But, the sad truth is that the instructor clearly has no knowledge of kickboxing skills and this segment doesn’t produce.\u00a0It is lame at best, embarrassing at worst.<\/p>\n

Overall, I would be pleased if one of my clients\u00a0used this\u00a0DVD for\u00a0a guided exercise session\u00a0while training on their own. It’s not super hard like an “Insanity” video, but it is a solid training tool. If you’re at a beginner or\u00a0intermediate fitness level, give Calorie Explosion a try!<\/p>\n
