Taking Selfies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To some people, a workout does not count unless they can post about it on Facebook\/Instagram\/Twitter or anything else out there.\u00a0 If you&#8217;re getting other people in the background, it&#8217;s impolite. Keep your selfies to yourself!<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>9. \u00a0Not Wearing Deodorant<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The gym is already a really crowded and sweaty place, so help everyone out and wear some deodorant so the girl three treadmills down doesn&#8217;t have to plug her nose while she runs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>8. Going in Without \u00a0a Plan<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Working out with a plan helps prevent you from roaming around like a lost puppy.\u00a0 Making your workouts intentional will help to ensure you are moving towards your goal and that you never feel out of place.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7. Yelling while Lifting<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Even if you are lifting tons of weight, it is rarely necessary for you to scream louder than a tennis player.\u00a0 Breathing heavily and grunting every once in a while is fine, but don&#8217;t make yourself a spectacle. Just don&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6. Staring at Yourself in the Mirror<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We get it, you&#8217;re proud of the way you look.\u00a0 You may even check your form. That&#8217;s good. But posing and pursing your lips is just weird. Do that at home.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Hogging Machines<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If the gym is empty, then there&#8217;s no problem. But don&#8217;t claim four different machines at once to get your special circuit done. It&#8217;s rude. You can only utilize one machine at a time, so expecting other patrons to wait so you don&#8217;t have to reset your equipment is just obnoxious. Don&#8217;t!<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Not Wiping Equipment After You&#8217;ve Sweated All Over It<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s not much worse than lying down on a bench to start a set and feeling the nasty dampness from someone else&#8217;s sweat. Most gyms offer wipes or towels. Be courteous and use them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Not Putting Your Weights Back<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gym employees are not your maids. If you brought the weights out to use them, we know that you are more than capable of putting them back yourself. Wouldn&#8217;t your mother expect the same?<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Using a Machine Incorrectly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Never be too embarrassed to ask for assistance when figuring out a machine or piece of equipment you&#8217;ve not used before. Asking for help will provide you with a better workout and certainly prevent injuries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Talking on Your Cell Phone<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re isolated and nobody can hear you, fine. If it&#8217;s a quickie &#8220;hey honey, don&#8217;t forget to pick up the kids&#8221; &#8230; fine.
