Fitz: You went pretty far as a contestant on “Dancing with the Stars” which is a pretty athletic experience, has it changed your lifestyle\u00a0at all?<\/strong><\/p>\n Niecy:<\/strong> First of all, DWTS was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life, and for the time, my eating habits had to change. See, I love, love, love\u00a0to eat! But I found that if I ate the normal things that I usually love to eat, then I couldn’t dance the way I needed to. If I ate things like cheeseburgers, I’d become too full and too tired to perform. So I ended up having to redirect myself. I would still eat, but to keep my energy up I had to go with salads, protein and water instead of my normal choices to ensure I’d be able to do my best during the shows and rehearsals.<\/p>\n Fitz: Your body confidence is incredible! Where did you get it and what\u00a0would you suggest\u00a0to\u00a0other women so they can feel as strongly about their bodies?<\/strong><\/p>\n Niecy: <\/strong>My grandmother used to tell me, “Baby! When you’re the only naked woman in the room, you look good!” It’s true. You may not be exactly where you want to be physically, but you should love yourself today.\u00a0If you don’t feel good about you, no one else will. It’s okay to to work on what you’ve got an try to get in better shape, but you have to be willing to love yourself in the meantime. Confidence is really sexy, and there isn’t anything worse than a rail thin woman, hula-hooping with a Cheerio, hiding her body because she doesn’t think she’s skinny enough. Skinny doesn’t make people happy; we have to choose to be happy. I choose to be happy.<\/em> It’s probably easier to be a black woman though, because we kind of have permission to be thicker. Black men celebrate our jiggly parts. I was born the right way and I\u00a0actually told my dance partner Louis at the start of DWTS that I didn’t want to lose weight. I love my curves!<\/p>\n Fitz: Do you still dance?<\/strong><\/p>\n Niecy: <\/strong>I’ll be honest –\u00a0no! I only really did it cause my 8th grade teacher kicked me out of dance class and I wanted to prove that I could do it. I danced once with Louis in Cabo San Lucas after the show concluded, but I haven’t done it since.<\/p>\n Fitz: You host “Clean House” and deal with lots of filthy people. What’s the filthiest thing about you?<\/strong><\/p>\n Niecy: <\/strong>Probably the way I use things in my home other than what they were intended for. For example, my treadmill\u00a0is now\u00a0used as a coat rack.\u00a0 Honestly though, my house remains pretty clean\u00a0but not because I’m a neat-nick. I keep it this way\u00a0out of pure fear. I’m terrified that one day the folks from my show are going to surprise me with cameras at my door and find my house messy. I used to have a house-cleaner, but then my three kids became dependant on her. Do you have a celeb crush?<\/strong><\/p>\n Niecy: <\/strong>Yes! Hugh Jackman is all things charismatic and flirty.<\/p>\n Fitz: Reno 911 has lots of sexy attitude. What do you find sexiest about police officers?<\/strong><\/p>\n Niecy:<\/strong> Who doesn’t<\/em> like a man in uniform? I think authority and power are sexy. I’m like, “you’re going to make me do what you say? I have to pull over for you and you’re going to do things to me? OKAY!” I love a man with authority!<\/p>\n Fitz: You talk a lot about your “jiggly parts”. What’s the most fun thing to do with them?<\/strong><\/p>\n Niecy: <\/strong>Well … I’d have to say dancing, but not the “Dancing with the Stars” type of dancing; that was grueling. I’m talking about the kind you do when you go out to a club with your girlfriends. Oooh! I’m also getting in to pole dancing!<\/p>\n Fitz: For any particular reason?<\/strong><\/p>\n Niecy:<\/strong> Yeah! To see what I got!
