I&#8217;ve lost 110 pounds; they are never to be found again!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>How long have you been running?<\/strong><span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"> Two<\/span> years<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>Do you compete? <\/strong>I do compete at the local 5k level, competing in the women\u2019s 45-50 category.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>Most challenging aspect of running:<\/strong> To run no matter what the weather or life pressures.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>Most fun aspect:<\/strong> Being outside enjoying my surroundings and pushing my body to the next level of fitness.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>Most rewarding part:<\/strong> Knowing that I no longer have to be treated for Type 2 Diabetes and have been taken off many different medicines.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>Who\/what inspires you when you\u2019re feeling weak?<\/strong> My 16 yr old daughter is my number one accountability partner in the area of healthy eating and exercise. My husband, because of how supportive he is with my running\/races, and my Facebook family &#8220;The Magic Milers&#8221;, because they are out there pounding the pavement daily as well.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>Advice for others who\u2019d like to get started:<\/strong> Don\u2019t listen to the negative voices in your head that tell you, \u201cyou can\u2019t do it!\u201d, \u201ceveryone is looking at you and laughing!\u201d or \u201cwhy start, you will never stick to it, you have done this time and time again!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>Your must-have equipment:<\/strong> A snug-fitting fuel and hydration belt, a comfortable pair of running shoes, and cool runner-girl sunglasses.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>Favorite training song:<\/strong> I don\u2019t listen to music while running.
