You Will Need:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1 square potholder (preferably colorful and fun)<\/p>\n

Sewing Machine<\/p>\n

Thread<\/p>\n

Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Grab your potholder and fold it in half, with the folded edge either facing right or left (not at the top or bottom).\u00a0 Run a straight stitch down the side of the potholder opposite the folded side and stop when you reach the bottom.\u00a0 Now you should have something that looks like a Chinese Finger Trap, where you have two small holes at the top and bottom, while the sides are sealed off.\u00a0 Next, run a straight stitch long the bottom hole, closing the hold and creating a closed bottom for the utensil holder.<\/p>\n

With two straight-line stitches, you now have the perfect holder for your straightener, curling iron, or any other hot utensil.\u00a0 Just slide your tool in (hot side first) into the top hole and the padding and protection from the potholder will keep the utensil from scorching your clothes or causing a fire hazard.\u00a0 While the cord won\u2019t fit in the holder, you can just wrap it around the bottom of the utensil where it\u2019s not hot.<\/p>\n
