Any combo of veggies work and any cut of chicken is fine.\u00a0 Many different herbs can be used as well!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a04 chicken breasts<\/li>\n<li>16-20 oz Chicken stock or broth<\/li>\n<li>4 celery stalks<\/li>\n<li>4 carrots<\/li>\n<li>1 sweet potato<\/li>\n<li>1 turnip<\/li>\n<li>1 onion<\/li>\n<li>1 bunch of kale or collard greens<\/li>\n<li>5 garlic cloves<\/li>\n<li>1 bay leaf<\/li>\n<li>4 sprigs of fresh thyme<\/li>\n<li>3 leaves of sage<\/li>\n<li>1 tbs pepper<\/li>\n<li>salt to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Chop all veggies and herbs.<\/li>\n<li>Heat a large stock pot to medium high heat and brown chicken on both sides.<\/li>\n<li>Decrease heat to medium and add onions and cook until soft.<\/li>\n<li>Add all veggies, herbs and spices and saute for 5-10 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Add chicken stock and cook on medium low heat for 1 hour.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><iframe src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tAeUSO82DWQ\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This Chicken Soup for the Soul recipe, provided by our friends at Gator Crossfit is very versatile.
