Gwen Stefani does a fabulous job excelling in the roles of fitness fiend, girlie girl and doting mama. She’s able to straddle the fence of being crazy strong and lean, while looking ladylike and lovely whenever possible. Some folks think that in order to have ripped muscles, you must also have some sort of macho persona to go with them. Not true! She’s a Mom, she’s got muscles and she loves make-up! Her typical day involves dropping her son Kingston<\/strong>, 6, off at school, working on her band\u2019s (No Doubt) latest album, fulfilling business obligations and spending the evening with her boys, including Zuma<\/strong>, 4. Before wrapping up the day on her music video sets \u2014 Stefani still manages to keep up with her signature style, from her bleached blonde locks to her red hot lips. On Motherhood:<\/strong> It\u2019s super fun being a mom, but it\u2019s hard too. Finding that balance between work and family is the hardest thing I\u2019ve ever done \u2014 by far.<\/p>\n

She works hard on that body, but …<\/strong> I hate talking about my body [all the time]; it’s ridiculous! There is no secret: You just have to eat healthy, work out, and torture yourself!<\/p>\n

On how she stays sample-size:<\/strong>I like to wear clothes too much, so I try to keep focused.<\/p>\n

Roots? No way!:<\/strong> Do you think Marilyn Monroe had to talk about this? Well, I heard she did hers with a Q-tip every 10 days, so I try to follow Marilyn’s rule. She’s never been photographed with roots … and you’ll never see me<\/em> with roots either.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Hopefully her glam face doesn’t take much time:<\/strong> I\u2019ve always been a girl who loves to dress up. I already put my makeup on twice today: I put it on to take Read more: my kid to school, and then I went home, washed my face, and put it on again.<\/p>\n

She’s not just doing it for herself: I like to make my husband<\/a> (Gavin Rossdale<\/strong>) like me more and he likes it when I\u2019m wearing makeup.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her son has a flare for fashion too:<\/strong>\u00a0 After recently delving into the world of caped crusaders, Stefani indulged in an afternoon visit to a costume shop to spruce up her son\u2019s superhero wardrobe \u201cHe just discovered superheroes and he\u2019s obsessed,\u201d the songstress says. \u201cIt\u2019s like when I discovered Marilyn Monroe<\/strong>: ob-SESSED.\u201d<\/p>\n
