The push-up is definitely on the top 5 list of almost any fitness professional you’ll meet. There’s a good reason for the hype; the push-up works practically every part of your upper body with one swift motion … and some of your other parts too (look at those legs hovering above the ground) . The other amazing thing about the push-up, is that there are so many variations of this move. These subtle twists allow you to hit various muscles differently.
First, let’s go over what the form should actually look like. This video of the push-up clearly defines the range of motion, as well as the form of what you should be doing.
Next, Let’s talk about the muscles that are involved in each push-up that you do:

On working out with a friend: There are tons of benefits to working out with someone else. You can do a better range of exercises if someone’s there to spot you. They’ll yell at me when I’m not working hard enough, and compliment me when I am.
